The service and eligibility
Lulu is a host-led trivia service for games, player registration, linked displays, questions, and scores. Features and availability may change as it develops.
Lulu is not designed for children under 13. You must be able to agree to these terms under the law that applies to you; a parent/guardian must authorize use where appropriate. Adult topics and After Dark require an audience aged 18 or over.
These terms do not create a paid subscription or promise unlimited hosting, storage, or availability. Any future paid offer will explain prices and applicable terms before purchase.
Access and responsibilities
Hosts must provide an email they control, accurate first and last names, and complete verification. Keep private links and codes secure. Sign-in links and invitation codes expire after 15 minutes and can be used once. Players may use respectful nicknames.
You are responsible for activity under your session and for your devices and network. Do not use another account without authorization. Report suspected unauthorized access promptly.
The operator can pause sign-up, limit capacity, or suspend/revoke access for abuse, security concerns, violations, or maintenance. Do not bypass suspended or revoked access with another email.
Hosts run the game
Hosts select content, set answer procedures, manage teams/admission, award points, and finalize rounds. They are responsible for audience suitability, venue permissions, accessibility needs, and separate event obligations.
Scoring is manual. Lulu is not a betting service, contest administrator, or payment/prize processor. Do not use it for unlawful gambling. Hosts who independently offer prizes or charge event fees are responsible for applicable laws and disclosures; Lulu does not promise that format is lawful.
Question errors, delays, and interruptions can occur. Resolve score disputes before finalization; finalized rounds cannot be edited through normal scoring controls. Our Rules page explains current scoring.
Questions, images, and your content
Lulu’s software, design, branding, and original material are protected by applicable rights. You may use the service for its intended game features. No ownership of the brand or software is transferred.
Some questions/images have separate open licenses and attribution requirements. Those rights remain with their owners; follow the credits and licenses. Do not assume the whole library is freely reusable.
You retain rights in content you provide, such as team names or authorized uploads. You permit OB & Friends to store, process, display, and share it as needed to operate the service for your games. Provide only material you have permission to use; do not upload sensitive personal records or unlawful content.
Report a rights/content problem with the material’s location, your rights or concern, and contact details. We may remove disputed or harmful material while reviewing it.
Privacy and communications
Our Privacy notice covers public names/scores, private access history, approximate network location, providers, and retention. Transactional emails support access and security; they are not a marketing subscription.
Keep join codes within your group. Shared player links contain game access information; anyone receiving one may be able to join under the host’s admission rules.
Availability and responsibility
The service is offered on an “as available” basis. To the extent permitted by applicable law, OB & Friends does not promise uninterrupted service, error-free questions, perfect synchronization, or suitability for a particular event. Test your setup and keep a backup plan for important events.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, OB & Friends is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from service use or interruptions. Nothing excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
You may stop using Lulu and contact us about account closure/deletion. We may discontinue features or the service; retained information is handled under the Privacy notice.
Updates and contact
We may revise these terms and communicate material changes through the service where appropriate. The effective date identifies the version. Continued use after a notified change takes effect means acceptance, subject to rights under applicable law.
