Pair a screen in the room
- Open Set up display on the TV browser or a connected computer.
- On the host’s device, open the active game and choose Link display.
- Scan the screen’s pairing QR, or enter its six-digit pairing code. QR scanning may ask for camera permission on the host’s device.
- Players then use the separate player QR, game code, and four-digit player PIN shown on the linked screen.
Pair remote screens
Have someone at the other location open Set up display and tell the host that screen’s pairing code. Enter it in Link display. Repeat up to the game’s linked-display limit.
Each display has its own pairing credentials. The host can nickname it, see link time and approximate network location, and disconnect it. All screens receive the same game state, with possible network delay.
Arrange a separate voice/video call for instructions and answers; conferencing is not built into Lulu.
Different codes have different jobs
- Display pairing QR or six-digit pairing code: the signed-in host uses this to link a screen.
- Player QR, six-character game code, and four-digit player PIN: guests use these to join and pick a name.
- Host invitation code/email link: private account access. Never put it on the TV.
Ready for the next host
Keep the display page open. Ending the game shows its closing state, then returns to a fresh pairing QR/code. Another host can link a game without signing in on the TV.
Disconnected or expired sessions may also return to setup. Use the current pairing code; old links expire.
If the screen gets stuck
- Check internet access and keep the game tab in front.
- If QR scanning fails, enter the six-digit pairing code. The display needs no camera.
- Use the browser’s fullscreen option if the onscreen control is unsupported. In fullscreen the control changes to exit/restore.
- Refresh if needed, and pair again if setup returns. Check the host’s linked-display list.
- If several screens lag, improve Wi-Fi or pause while reconnecting.
