Individual rounds: +1 per correct answer
The host awards one point to each player they judge correct for the current question. All difficulty tiers have the same point value. There is no speed bonus or automatic grading.
Several players can earn a point on a question if the host’s format allows it. Wrong answers earn zero; there is no automatic deduction.
Team rounds: a modest winning bonus
- A correct team answer adds one point to that team’s round score, not to every member’s personal score.
- When the host finalizes a winning team round, eligible full-round members receive +2 personal points.
- Members who join or change teams mid-round receive +1 if their team wins. Leaving before the finish means no winning-team bonus.
- Teams and memberships last only that round. Personal points already earned stay on the game leaderboard.
- Captains are optional. The host controls admission and membership changes, and chooses whether arrivals wait or can request mid-round entry.
Odd targets and tie-breakers
Team rounds have an odd target from 1 to 99 regular questions. Odd does not guarantee a winner: nobody may score, several teams may compete, or scores may still tie.
The host can generate a random decider or choose a specific question. An unanswered decider awards no points and leaves the tie in place; choose another question. The host reviews and finalizes the round manually.
“Nobody got it” means zero points
This reveals the answer and records “Nobody got it · No points awarded.” It applies to individual, team, and tie-breaker questions. The question counts as played and stays out of the unused bank.
If points were already awarded, confirmation names the affected players or teams. Confirm removes only that question’s awards. Cancel changes nothing.
A fresh manual award corrects a mistaken Nobody result. It clears that result without restoring previously removed awards. Players see the no-points message without a celebration.
Finishing rounds and games
The host chooses when to advance after a reveal. At the target, review and finalize the round. An empty queue calls for more questions or review, never an automatic finish.
Finalized rounds cannot be rescored. The final game leaderboard combines individual awards and team-round bonuses. Equal totals share a rank; hosts can agree an extra playoff if they want a single champion.
Older games can retain the rules recorded when their rounds were created. Check the host’s round settings when resuming an older game.
Agree the house rules
- Use respectful names the host can recognize.
- Agree answer deadlines, spelling flexibility, and search/phone use before play.
- Ask for scoring corrections while the round is still open.
- Keep join codes within your intended group. Adult topics and After Dark are for 18+ audiences only.
- Lulu does not run betting, cash-prize processing, or an appeals service for results.
